If you connect to the negative of the battery, the current has to go through the battery to chassis ground lead, which has a higher impedance. I wouldn't expect it to make that much difference though. Particularly for motorbikes where the starting current requirements are lower than a cars (small engine, small starter motor). Measuring the piston ring slit clearance. Had a bit of trouble measuring the ring as the piston itself on the CBR250RR was not completely flat, has anyone else had this issue? I had to use the backside of a vernier to measure and straighten out the piston rings as they sat in the cylinder before i could use the feeler gauge to measure the clearance.
