Nothing too elaborate, like full on detailing. I'm very happy with my set, and i'm only recommending this guy because mine turned out so well.

And yes it may have taken a long time, but what is time to someone who is probably unemployed, loves star trek and has no girlfriend?

If you're going to take out the engine, wont you need to mod the brakes, suspension, tyres etc?

What are you planning on keeping from the MC22? The frame and headlights?

It may be that because the starter motors ground is the chassis, it's a lower impedance to connect on the chassis too. If you connect to the negative of the battery, the current has to go through the battery to chassis ground lead, which has a higher impedance.

I wouldn't expect it to make that much difference though. Particularly for motorbikes where the starting current requirements are lower than a cars (small engine, small starter motor).

I had to use the backside of a vernier to measure and straighten out the piston rings as they sat in the cylinder before i could use the feeler gauge to measure the clearance.
