Plug changing guide for the CBR250RR (MC22) - This is a spark plug changing guide written by "BoyBlade" from the forum, this may also be handy for MC19 owners.

CBR400 - 1 October 01 - The only time I'd changed plugs on a JDM CBR was as documented below. However I changed the plugs in my 400 on Friday just gone, and after a little over an hour and several knuckles later I had all four changed, it really is an unpleasant job.

CBR400 - September 01 - Finally got my aspiration setup ok for the moment, I completed the setup with an ART stainless steel end can, which complimented my K&N filter and larger jets (115), the bike is going right now. Up until then I was having problems where the bike appeared to be hindered at high revs (>10,000rpm) it would lose power where it should still keep increasing. The next things I want to do is to upgrade the Brakes on teh bike, put on braided hoses and EBC pads, to make my stopping a bit more reassuring. Suspension is also still at the back of my mind, but it's an expensive mod if I do modify it. :-(

CBR250 - I recently had the nasty task of changing the spark plugs on my bike, I saw pictures on some Japanese guys site of him changing his spark plugs and wondered why he had gone to such trouble to show people how to do such a normally simple task....now I know why, it's a tough job. It took me and a friend about 2 hours to change the plugs. The plugs I used were the ones recommended by the Japanese guy on his site NGK CR9EHVX-9, the standard plug is a CR9EH but the VX plugs are the platinum coated for better, stronger sparks :-)

Here's a picture of the plugs, for those of you Irish out there, I managed to pick up a set from Mountjoy Motorcycles for a little more than the cost of the standard ones (less than a pound extra per plug). An update on the price of the platinum plugs, it appears the time I bought them for less than a pound extra must have been a mistake, they're actaully nearly IR£15 a go, so that £60 for a set of plugs as against £40 for the standard.
